Dawn News Live TV
was Pakistan's 24 hour Urdu news Karachi based channel, the base is a branch of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan's biggest English language media group. The test transmission of the station occurred on May 25, 2007, and the channel went live on July 23, 2007. On May 15, 2010, Dawn News transformed into an Urdu news channel after successful test transmision of 4 hours a day. The switch is mainly due to its financial disaster and narrow viewership in the country. Now Express 24/7 has retrieved it as the Pakistan's only English news channel.
Probably, the most able, expert and intelligent journalists of current time have been associated with the channel since the creation. Some of them left to follow their career in the same profession. Nonetheless, with great ard working and committed they converted the vision into a reality.
